The US Library of Congress' Copyright division has apparently hired an army of turtles. Though nobody has been able to sneak in and confirm this, I know it must be true. I sent in a copyright application for a few songs I wrote back in June of 2008; they finally finished reviewing it and sent me the letter confirming the registration today.
I believe it started when the government hired a few of them. Seeing that nothing was getting done; the government continued along its normal line of logic and said, "Hmm, if a handful of turtles isn't able to do the job, then the problem must be that we don't have enough turtles!"
Don't get me wrong, I love turtles and....well...I even strive to tolerate our government. I am simply questioning the government's judgment in hiring a whole army of these guys to process paperwork.
